JAMAICA
TRAVEL TIPS
Jamaica is a tropical island and therefore enjoys a moderately warm temperature year-round. When preparing for your trip, here are a few things to check off your list before you start having fun in the sun.
- Check your travel documents: Make sure you have all visa’s, vaccinations and paperwork necessary for the country you are going to visit. Here is a link for those traveling to Jamaica.
- Customs Declaration Form: Ensure that you have completed your electronic C5 Customs Declaration Form before entering Jamaica https://enterjamaica.com/
- Sun-Protection: The sun can quickly go from your best friend to your worst enemy. This is why it’s important to bring enough sun protection. This includes but is not limited to: sunscreen, hats, sun glasses, and swimsuit cover-ups.
- Insect-Repellant: Mosquito born viruses are commonplace in all tropical climates. Be sure to pack insect repellent, specifically products containing DEET. Nobody wants to be sick on vacation. Be sure to spray all exposed skin and replenish often.
- Light-weight “summer” clothing: With temperatures usually around 90º F, make sure you dress in cool, light fabrics that will allow you to be comfortable.
- Medication: Packing your medication is crucial to a safe, enjoyable holiday. Be sure that you have enough to last your whole trip.
- Travel Insurance: We recommend that you have travel insurance before taking your trip.
